who now?

biscuitware has been around ten years now... it's the online identity of Andrew J Carr, a 28yr old Londoner. People keep asking where the name comes from and the same story has been relayed countless times, but here it is again - just for you:

Andrew J CarrIn 1997 biscuitware was a student helping out the IT department at a local school. He was asked by the school's administrators to put together some small databases. As a volunteer, they weren't able to pay any money but they did raid the staffroom and pay in biscuits. Tins and tins of them.

If you're familiar with software, you might have heard of 'freeware' and 'shareware'; so, why not biscuitware?

This website has changed over the years as biscuitware has progressed through university into a full time career as a small cog for large multi-nationals, occasionally dabbling in freelance work. You can see biscuitware through time at the Wayback machine.
